Things to Remember While Visiting Great Wall of China

Traveling around the world and gaining experience is just like a book. Some pages are created by nature while others are invented by man himself. All of us have a secret desire to visit all the 7 wonders of the world, which are the most beautiful and wonderful creations of human being. Among them, The Great Wall of China is one of the most suitable places to visit while hiking or trekking. I have visited this historic place. I am going to share my experience of this beautiful structure and which are the most convenient places to go here and how.

The Simatai section of this wall is the most crowded part because of the availability of cable cars. You can also trek from Gubeikou to Jinshanling through the mystic woods. It’s about 6 hours walking. On the way, you can also visit their military base.

You can also start your trekking from Huangyaguan, a three hour drive from the city of Beijing. It’s an 80 km path trekking mostly through the woods, covered with dense trees or rugged stones. But the view from there is simply mindblowing. If you miss this trek to the Great Wall, you will definitely miss something in your life.

Start from the Beijing city and take a two hour drive. Here you will find the best section of the wall at Mutianyu. You can take a 40 minute walk all by yourself or can avail cable car trip. Just hire a guide and enjoy the beauty and the history of the Wall.

The Wall at Jinshanling is much less crowded than the other parts. It’s a three hour drive from Beijing. This Section contains text bricks, towers, House blocking stones and partition walls. Hiking is the best possible option to explore this amazing part of the Wall.

You can also camp near the Great Wall of China to enjoy its night view. Campsite near Beijing Tower is most famous because there are bricks with dates to show on which date they are put in to build up the tower.

The Hike will take almost 2-3 hours to complete. So always take some light snacks and water along with you. The vision of the Wall changes with different season. But the best time to visit here is during summer and spring, mainly in May, September and October.

So Book your flights and start your Hiking to the Great Wall of China.
