Goa – The Party Capital of India

Goa is a small Portuguese land situated on the western side of India. This place is mostly visited by the foreigners during the time of December which is the carnival season here.

Geographic Location

Goa, also known as Konkan because of its coastal place, has seven major rivers namely Zuari, Mandovi, Terekhol, Chapora Galgibag, kumbarjua canal, Talpona and the Sal.

Most of the time, it has tropical Climate and the temperatures range between 19 °C to 32 °C during different time of the year.

It has many famous tourist attractions which include beaches, wildlife sanctuaries, museums, heritage homes and Forts.


North Goa is the most happening part which has many low and medium budget hotels and draws major part of the tourists, whereas in South Goa most of the highly valued hotels and private beaches are there.

To increase the fun quotient this beaches has many activities like camping, scuba diving or snorkeling, Jet Skiing, surfing, Fishing, wind surfing, parasailing and many more like this.

Some of the famous North Goa beaches are Morjim, Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Dona Paula and Coco.

Some of the breathtaking South Goa beaches are Colva, Majorda, Varca, Kakolem, Cola, Agonda and Palolem.

The Government has also recently started a sea plane service which will take off from Dabolim Airport and will land on Mandolim River.

Wildlife Sanctuaries

This small city has huge amount of wildlife sanctuaries like Bondla, Cotigao, Mhadei, Netravali and Bhagwan Mahaveer sanctuary and Mollem National Park. Different varieties of foxes, wild Boars, migratory birds can be seen here. A rare species of turtle called Olive Ridley Sea Turtle can also be found in the Morjim Beach.

Dudhsagar Falls (when it falls from the edge it looks like as white as milk) is the fifth tallest waterfalls in India is to be found inside Bhagwan Mahaveer sanctuary.


Goa has several notable museums which are truly an example of Portuguese design and architecture. Most of the famous examples are The Goa State Museum, The Naval Aviation Museum, Goa Science Center, Archaelogical museum and portrait gallery and the museum of Christian art.

This place is also spotted with several Forts like Aguada, Chapora where may shootings of Bollywood Film Industry take place.

Night Life

Goa is called the party capital of India. It is full of night clubs and private beaches where you can lay in front of the sea with your favorite drink in your hand.

To dance our heart out with the trance music you can go to SinQ beach club,Tito’s nightclub, Hype,etc.

It is also rich in mouth watering delicacies like Ambot Tik, Fish Curry Rice, Crab Xec Xec, Chicken Cafreal, Feni, Sorpotel and Goan Sausages.
